Worth Waiting For

I remembered the day I had discovered this treasure,

It was precious, valuable, something you can’t measure.

One of the most amazing things that has ever caught my eyes,

The essence of this treasure had me surprised.

It’s like a gift,

The wrapping looks so beautiful on the outside,

Yet it’s the value that’s taken by the token on the inside.

So the treasure I had found was perfectly wrapped,

And when I opened it all up, my heart stopped.

Amazing! Incredible! A Masterpiece! I supposed,

I started back breathing as my mouth closed.

Tears poured down my cheeks, as I looked at this magnificent art,

I then thanked the Worthy Artist and after I placed it in my heart.

Day by day, I learnt so much from this treasure that I called a Blessing,

And I had understood why the Artist had created His Art with Singing.

This treasure changed my life, as it projected the image of its Maker,

And I had completely fallen in love with this thing I had encountered.

So one day I asked The Artist, “Can I keep this gift forever?”

He replied that I could, but I needed ten years to know it better.

I pondered for a while, and then I thought to my self, “This treasure is something I adore.”

So then I turned to the Artist with a smile on my face and said, “I agree this treasure is Worth Waiting For.”
